The Mannequin Chronicles Mannequin Art for the Masses! The first, the original, the REAL Mannequin Chronicles Don't be fooled by cheap imitators!

With the economy in the tank, the Girls do what they can to stay optimistic, employed, and
socially conscientious. They are shopping less, although they still try to stay tastefully dressed.
Daily they find ways to help our government solve our economic woes: they have embraced the
Green Machine, they shop vintage, carpool, recycle grey water, use energy efficient CFLs, AND
they make sure their tires are properly inflated! Join the girls! It's an ERA of change! Help the
economy recover and stop global warming! (We know you can.) Help save the world, and of
course help save the polar bears! (And the penguins, too.... They're mighty cute!)
The Mannequin Chronicles is a series of coffee table books and fine art photographs, written and
photographed by Dannell Powell. Please enjoy a sample selection of photographs from our books

In the spirit of optimism and hope
for a better economy, the Girls
have a party, all pitching in, of
course.
Heady was quite peeved when she
got to the party,"Hey! Did any of
you give those imitators, those
rat-bastards, permission to use
us? They're using our art to sell
cheap clothes!"
"Oh Heady, they're just cheap
copies. They don't dress as well
and aren't the least bit stylish!
They have no redeeming social
qualities and absolutely no
personality!"
"It's just not right! You would think
Big Business, a company that
purportedly spent hundreds of
millions of Ad Dollars last year,
could pay the artist, or minimally
give her credit!

What big business steals from the little guy? (Oh! That's a stupid question!) Big Business
typically prevails, just the sort of activity that allowed the current economic situation. Such is
the nature of our capitalist system! It certainly wouldn't happen with a business that had an
ounce of dignity or respect. Well, my new motto; friends don't let friends shop at that place!"
With a slightly heavy heart, and ending on that note, Heady joined her friends for a pleasant
party, with pleasant conversation. She wouldn't let this apparent theft weigh on her usually
cheerful spirit. One sleazy Big Business was not going to deter Heady's belief in the basic
goodness of humanity! Heady maybe just a head, but she could rise above the unprincipled.
